The obverse features a privateer’s ship, a commonly used element in this series, rocking in the ocean as a large white whale crests the water’s surface. Harpoons are sticking out of the whale’s body, showing us that the hunted as become the hunter. The flag on the stern of the ship contains elements that match the series’ shared reverse.

Reverse
The shared reverse of the Privateer series features a human skull in front of the wheel of a ship. The motto “NO PREY NO PAY” is inscribed, which refers to pirates only getting paid following a successful raid on another ship. You’ll also find the round’s weight and purity.
