This ultra-high relief round was manufactured by Elemetal Mint, a pioneer for new product development and modernized minting techniques. These striking rounds are eligible for use in Precious Metals IRA accounts, and are ready to be shipped in brand new, mint condition.
The obverse features Lady Liberty from the viewpoint of guests to Liberty Island. The Statue of Liberty is prominently displayed in her splendor holding her torch and books of l with waving stars and stripes behind her.
A curved rendering of a globe showing North America is featured on the reverse side of the 2 oz Silver Liberty Island Ultra High Relief Round. The metal weight and purity are inscribed near the rim of the round, along with “AMERICAN LANDMARKS”.
The Statue of Liberty is a great symbol of the freedom and the democracy of the United States. The monument was presented as a gift to the United States by France in 1886 to celebrate the kinship the two endured during the American Revolution. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886.
Located in the Upper New York Bay, Liberty Island is home to the Statue of Liberty and was named a U.S. National Monument in 1937 under decree by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Statue of Liberty was named a National Monument in 1924 and placed in the care of the National Park Service.
Frederic Auguste Bartholdi was commissioned to design the statue which was to be a joint effort between the United States and France. France would build and design the Statue while United States would complete the pedestal that would hold Lady Liberty. Bartholdi needed an engineer to assist with the structural issues in designing the sculpture so Alexandre Gustave Eiffel who designed the Eiffel Tower provided assistance with getting the Statue to stand upright.
Made entirely of copper, this popular tourist attraction remains a beloved treasure of the United States standing 305ft 6 inches tall!
