Dr. Darwin Perkins wrote this series with a couple ideas. One, if you are over 40, you probably don’t really understand what this whole crypto thing is. And, almost no one you know can help you get smarter about it.
The other reason is that there are literally thousands of people out there who are more than willing to take every last penny you have to “teach” or “invest”, or simply hold your money. That ranges from your most trusted investment advisor, your funds manager, your broker and your banker, all the way through the large majority of web sites out there that have the names Bitcoin, BTC, Alt-coin, or something else relating to Cryptocurrencies.
One of the main goals stated in the original Bitcoin Whitepaper was to allow every person in the world to be their own bank and manage their money without any 3rd party telling them “the rules”.
This first book in the Bitcoin Simple series explains how it all started, gives a couple stories about the early years and gives you enough "special vocabulary" so that you begin to understand the world of Bitcoin.
So, I write, not because I’m an expert, but exactly the opposite. If I can do this, anyone can. I’m not a bitcoin guru, I just know a little “bit”.
